I hate all wireless phone companies.

I hate all wireless phone companies because the make you sign these gay contracts just to get service then if you phone gets stolen they want you to pay 50 bucks and wait for a new one in the mail then they charge you an additional 35 bucks just to activate it. Then there was this one time when I had to sign a new contract for changeing my phone number and my balance jumped from zero to over 300 bucks and they interrupted my service. and also you will be forced to signing a new contract if your phone breaks and they stop making the one you had so my advice do not give into these scam cell phone places.

Wow. Just curious what provider you have.

Thats your problem, sprint sux. Go with ATNT or T-mobile.

Been with A T&T for 3 years now, and haven't had any major problems. Oops, started with Cingular, but with the buy out...

Post 6 by audioadict (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 05-Feb-2008 15:39:08

I'm with cingular, no major problems, just not enough minutes! I do believe that cell phone companies are crooks, they want your money

Post 7 by Dubstep1984 (I just keep on posting!) on Tuesday, 05-Feb-2008 22:07:59

actually AT&T wants your money. i am not posting a seperat rant about AT&T but i am pretty up set. when we moved here, we got AT&T for our home phone and our internet. the rep said that there will be a bill of $86.03 every month now. do you think that amount stuck? hell no. they are slowly increasing the prices without informing us about them and privacy directer, which they told us was free, is $8 per month. Voice mail, which was $4.50 a month, is now $5.75 a month. so we had a talk today. comcast is coming out on valentines day to hook us up with their services. we are positively sick of AT&T nickle and diming us. Also, the rep who i spoke to who works for comcast used to work for AT&T. she told me that their policy allowed them to mislead customers so that they will buy their services. and also, it is ok for them not to inform you about the slowly creaping up prices every month.. so if you ask me, AT&T is one big scam.

Post 8 by King Reeses (King of all Peanut Butter) on Wednesday, 06-Feb-2008 3:19:14

What is the world coming to? I wonder what ever happened to the customer always being right. Now we all know why AT&T was able to buy out all of these smaller wireless companies.

Post 9 by cattleya (Help me, I'm stuck to my chair!) on Wednesday, 06-Feb-2008 4:01:30

Hmm, haven't had that issue with my cell...

Post 10 by Dubstep1984 (I just keep on posting!) on Wednesday, 06-Feb-2008 20:10:24

yep. that is exactly y they r buying out everything. because they sneak the prices up and ententionally do not tell you of hidden fees or they lie about them.

Post 11 by audioadict (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Thursday, 07-Feb-2008 13:12:49

Yes, they don't tell you about hidden fees and they do lie. In my opinion, that's quite unfair!

Post 12 by Dubstep1984 (I just keep on posting!) on Friday, 08-Feb-2008 2:23:04

damn straight!

Post 13 by King Reeses (King of all Peanut Butter) on Friday, 08-Feb-2008 5:00:33

What's even more sad is that the damn federal government lets these wireless phone companies do these scam like activities.

Post 14 by Dubstep1984 (I just keep on posting!) on Friday, 08-Feb-2008 19:30:48

yes they do. very much. it is very sad. anything to make an extra dollar even if it comes down to scams and dishonesty to do it.

Post 15 by audioadict (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 19-Feb-2008 13:23:24

These wireless phone companies are crooks! They're in it for the money, and could care less about what the customers think.

Post 16 by Dubstep1984 (I just keep on posting!) on Tuesday, 19-Feb-2008 16:34:22

true. some wireless companies are like that but not all. my husband and i are thinking about going with metro pcs after our contract with sprint is up.

Post 17 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Tuesday, 19-Feb-2008 17:36:12

It's just another way for them to make money. It's like that almost everywhere else you look.

Post 18 by Dubstep1984 (I just keep on posting!) on Tuesday, 19-Feb-2008 20:59:07

true. it is sad really.

Post 19 by audioadict (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Thursday, 21-Feb-2008 11:48:02

Yeh, that's quite sad that these companies would do things like that. As my dad says, the love of money is the root of all evil.

Post 20 by battle star queen (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 21-Feb-2008 12:16:23

to post one not all cell phone providers suck. I'm with verison and the plan I'm on is like one of the pay as you go plans. I get 750 any time minutes, 1000 night and weekend minutes, and free moble to moble. It only costs 54 dollaars and verison won't keep raising the price every month.

Post 21 by audioadict (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Friday, 22-Feb-2008 0:34:10

That's fairly good. Shawna, Dang, I wish I had verizon so me and you could talk mobile to mobile!

Post 22 by Miss Prism (the Zone BBS remains forever my home page) on Friday, 22-Feb-2008 0:48:32

I just hate that you have to get a new phone each time you switch services--it's so wasteful! I have Sprint PCS, only because I wanted to continue using my same cell phone, which is nice and has easy to use prominent buttons, unlike most of the new flip phones I see and hate.

Post 23 by forereel (Just posting.) on Friday, 22-Feb-2008 1:11:45

Well I think we should all revault and stop using these damn crooks and get pack to pen a paper. Oh forgot we're blind, so stylus and paper. You don't even have to take the crooked postal service raising stamp prices, just put free matter for the blind and your got it going on.

Post 24 by audioadict (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Tuesday, 26-Feb-2008 14:46:20

I also hate that talks only works with certain phones. If I switched providers, my phone wouldn't work with that service. I think that's unfair and waistful.

Post 25 by purple penguin (Don't you hate it when someone answers their own questions? I do.) on Tuesday, 26-Feb-2008 14:51:47

That's because of the types of phones each phone company caries.

Post 26 by Dubstep1984 (I just keep on posting!) on Monday, 03-Mar-2008 0:06:38

i actually hate the nokia phones. the voice quality on them when someone is talking to you is extremely fuzzy.

Post 27 by audioadict (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Thursday, 12-Jun-2008 22:30:22

Yeh, and the speaker phone is terrible.
!

Post 28 by Austin (the magic fan!) on Tuesday, 21-Apr-2009 7:36:37

well i will not give up my at&t for anything. i have my roll over minuttes and i have a lot of people i talk to on at&t. plus they sell screen readers for windows mobile and symbian.... i guess verizon does now. anyway, i would go with metro but their service is spotty and they do nnot have accessible phones. the best cell phone companies are verizon, at&t and tmobile. sprint sucks a huge one. later.

Post 29 by bea (I just keep on posting!) on Thursday, 23-Apr-2009 14:00:43

I just bought a new AT and T phone which does not talk. The guy in the store was really nice. I have 400 minutes a month unlimited nights and weekends. I thought about a talking phone but wondered how much more money those cost plus the cost of software. I only paid $50 for the phone and will have it now for 2 years. The phone cost $50 with the rebate.

Post 30 by rat (star trek rules!) on Wednesday, 13-May-2009 22:30:28

i'm a happy alltel user, even if they don't exactly show as their own company. my q is the best phone i've used and with my 1000 anytime minutes, free night and weekends after 7, 10 my circle numbers, and my free mobile to mobile it's really good. that's not even including my data and texting abilities which aren't limited.

Post 31 by Big Pawed Bear (letting his paws be his guide.) on Thursday, 14-May-2009 6:29:18

the best way to go in my view is to get a sim free phone and stick with it for years, you can then take whichever provider you wish and put on what softwaer you wish too. yes it costs a bit to get the sim free phone, but once you got it, it's there. hehe
